"SAWASDEE KA to all!   Hope all my friends enjoyed the Songkran Festival.  If you were out of town or stayed indoors take a look at the video and pictures in the  "Photo Archive" titled Songkran Festival, Soi 6, Pattaya.  Yeah, it does appear to be a war,but just a war of water to celebrate the Thai culture and history.   A big thank you to all the Thais of old who created this joyous and eventful holiday.  The "Festival" affords us the opportunity to forget about the civil unrest in Bangkok for a week. We all hope that the political problems could be thrown away just as the water during Songkran. Things have a way of working out over time, and this will too.  The sooner the better for all parties involved. Tourism is Thailand's #1 industry, and for me, the paradise we call Pattaya was built by you the tourists and expats from around the globe.
